Jack is the worst! First, he was to inspect the work done recently on a newly installed a/c unit and he went right to work on the factory installed one finding issues that did not exist. He never told me about travel fees and so I was charged $450 for less than an hours work. I only had $400 on me so he greedily accepted that amount. THEN, he was supposed to check out my shower and a leak underbelly but left without doing so. I want to add, he goes to AZ in the winter, so he should have told me upfront he would not have time to do the work and save the the $150 I thought his services would cost. Another added disappointment is his crack shows when he is working, While he was on my roof, his but crack was exposed the whole time he was checking out the a/c. I am staying in a RV park and there are children around. HAVE SOME PRIDE, DUDE!STAY FAR AWAY FROM HIM~~

This man did very poor work on my travel trailer. I described the noise is was making and he changed the wrong part. He did not turn the power to check out the problem first. He also broke the the good part that was already in there. He charged me $150 per hour for 3 hrs and $25 for the wrong part. When I confronted him, he said that my lack of knowledge was not his responsibility. Why else would I hire him? I have no knowledge of travel trailers. His name is Jack. He only takes cash and does not give a receipt. He said he has expensive toys.

Jack did some great work for me on my RV. He did quite a bit of plumbing and LP gas system. Did a hard line to my septic system with a real toilet! No more tanks and valves to deal with.

During a heavy rain storm last weekend in Conconully, WA one of our 5th wheel awnings collapsed and twisted the support arm making it impossible to roll in. No way could we go anywhere. We contacted Are Vee In Fix in Omak on July 3 and Jack came out 2 days later to the RV resort we were at. Initially he was going to take the entire 16ft awning down, but we had no way to carry it home with us, it was too big. After looking at all options, he was able to remove/break off twisted brackets, roll the awning in and secure it safely to the unit allowing us to travel without any worries. Jack was very professional, courteous and thoroughly thought things through before tackling the problem. We highly recommend this business for all your mobile RV needs. My husband found Are Vee in a Fix online and gave Jack a call. He was always professional and was able to meet with us on a Friday afternoon. He diagnosed and fixed a stove issue we'd had in about 30 seconds, and not only winterized our RV but showed us how to do it in the future ourselves if we want. Had an issue with my water heater and thankfully it was under warranty. The replacement part sent was defective, as was the original, but Jack addressed it multiple times at his earliest convenience. He dealt with the manufacturer the entire time and handled everything he could from his end. I’m really impressed with how easy he makes his work for his customers and how he keeps an open line of communication so his customers knows where he is at in the process. I highly recommend him to anyone needing work on their recreational vehicles.

Called Jack Payne to come and fix my RV. I even gave him information for my warranty and made an appointment which was over a week away from the time we spoke. He never showed up. I left messages and wasn't able to reach him. I texted him a couple of days later and he said that he wasn't feeling well. So we made plans for him to get ahold of me. I gave him my address for the second time. I never heard from him again. Fortunately I found another company that fixed th issue with my RV. Very bad for business Jack.

Plumbing problem with toilet. Was not even there 1 hr. Sold me ridex. Cost $310. Not resolved. Then wanted to do a rebuild. Got the tank professionally cleaned out and needed a new toilet valve. $345. Total. Problem resolved. Rebuild a lot more expensive. Nothing was wrong with the tank.

We were stranded in Mazama with failed bearings, hub and axle on our trailer. We found Jack who came to our rescue from 90 miles away. He assessed the situation, researched the parts needed and came back to fix it in place. He was very personable and his professionalism put us at ease. Just wanted to give a terrific shout out to Jack. This spring we had him check the wheel bearings on our 5th wheel and then later we had him do an appliance service where he cleans the exterior of the furnace, fridge and AC. The best part was he was happy to have me watch and help, and now I can do the yearly appliance service myself! If you want to learn how to maintain your RV yourself, Jack is your man. We've had a great RV season so far, hope you will too.

Terrible communication and a bad attitude. Wish I could rate your work but you couldn't even make a confirming phone call that you were on your way to our property, then apparently got lost(even with detailed instructions), then when I called to see what happened after a salty text message he says "I can't help you, don't call me again" and hung up the phone. I can haul a 12,000 pound 5th wheel trailer up here but your repair truck can't make it?Really unfortunate mate, I really needed some help out here. No hot water and no furnace. Bad business. Sadly the only choice around.

We had a slide out that wouldn’t go in (and no manual override) and had to check out of the campsite that day. We called Jack and he couldn’t get to us until the next day but kindly walked us through the repairs which we were able to complete! He was very helpful and knew exactly what needed to be done. We were just camping at Pearygin Lake near Winthrop WA when we experienced power failure to our refrigerator, slide outs and awning. We needed to move spots for the next nights stay and could not get the awnings or slide outs to work. We searched Google for someone that could fix RV’s in the area and came across Are Vee in a Fix. What was even better was they are Mobile! We gave Jack Payne a call, the owner, and told him our issue and he said he could make it out to us around 4:00 PM. We were a little bummed since we had to be out of the site by 2:30 but what can ya do? We told the park and sit back to wait for Jack. Jack made it at 2:30 and said he had rearranged some stuff to try and get us all taken care of and within an hour he had found the problem, did a bypass of the bad disconnect switch and had us working and on our way. He also showed me how I could replace the switch myself when I got home and grab it off of Amazon for around $60 instead of having to take it into an RV shop. If you ever have issues with your RV around this area of Washington, Jack Payne at Are Vee in a Fix is the guy to call.

I cannot say enough great things about Jack Payne, the owner of this business. When I accidentally destroyed the A/C on my RV, Jack came to my location almost immediately, removing the old unit and installed a vent cover so the rain wouldn’t come into the coach. The next morning he called me with info on a new unit. I drove the three hours (each way) to pick up the unit he ordered for a replacement. When I returned to Omak he came out to the RV park and installed it. In 24 hours I went from a destroyed A/C to a functioning one. Service like this is a rarity these days and I must commend Jack...THANKS JACK!

I have waited a long time to leave this review, as I was hoping that there would be a remedy to the situation. The first time that I called Jack, he was absolutely positive that he knew exactly what was wrong with my rv furnace. He came out and replaced a master controller. I paid. He left. About an hour later, no heat. It took a few weeks to get him to come out and take another look. He took my furnace apart and found that there was a wasp nest in the furnace. He cleaned it out, but said he would've replaced my igniter if he'd had the part on him because it was looking pretty shot. He was paid again and again it worked for about an hour. When I was able to get in touch with Jack again he said that he would replace the igniter and not charge me for the travel or labor this time. After not hearing from him for a while, I contacted Jack to see if he'd received the igniter yet. He replied that he had, but would not reply to further messages asking when he would be able to put the part in. The amount that I'd paid Jack would have bought me a brand new furnace. Instead I spent many months living in an rv that was below freezing. The only place that I could get warm was under an electric blanket. At times, it was so cold that I could not even have my hands or face out from under the blanket. My dog's water bowl was regularly a block of ice when I would wake in the morning. Please do not rely on this man if you have any alternative. He breached my trust and took money without ever fixing the furnace as he was hired to do, resulting in much hardship for me. I cannot recommend his services.EDIT(regarding business owner response): This absolutely is true. I have text messages confirming everything that I've said, Jack. And I am a she, not a he.

I called this business about the temperamental water heater in our converted sprinter van, because it was a mobile business and listed Winthrop as a potential destination. I elected, however, to meet Jack in the Walmart parking lot in Omak since I was going to Home Depot anyway.Jack diagnosed and fixed the water heater on the spot. The price was very fair. What a relief. I had feared I was in for a major repair.I then brought up the fact that my television has not worked for a couple of years as a future project for him to take on. I called this afternoon about a hot water issue of not properly heating the water. Being a newbie at RVing he explained that their was a bypass valve that needed to be on to allow hot water to the rv. Like he said he saved me a trip. Definitely recommend his knowledge. I now have hot water to my rv.

Hard to communicate with. Showed up with no call before arrival. Stripped out screws on Rv. Then left without telling us and just said he’s done. He could fit in small space and just said “I’m done”. Worst customer service experience of my life.

Are Vee in a fix is good at pocketing cash and then disappearing. We needed electronic parts that run the hydraulic jacks replaced, under our extended warranty. We paid $250 and got absolutely nothing out of it. Are Vee in a Fix did not even attempt to get the part ordered. They did not return calls and after a couple of weeks, we just gave up.Are Vee in a Fix prefers to do business on the shadier side. They do not even meet the licensing and insurance requirements to deal with an extended warranty company. They might be able to help you, if you have plenty of cash to throw at them and things don't get technically complicated. But if you look for a business that you can rely on, a business that gets the job done: Look somewhere else.

We came from Caldwell Idaho to quartzsite arizona for a couple of weeks in cruise America RV and didn't want to put water in till we got down to quartzite. Well we filled up with water when we got there and by the time we got to camp there was water all over the floor. We called the helpline and Jack was out within acouple of hours, had the right part and we were on our way after meeting at the love's truck stop in quartzsite, he waited till we filled back up with water and rechecked to make sure there were no leaks most people probably wouldn't have done that. Great service from a guy who knows RVs. And, a nice guy too! We were traveling in our Class A 35 ' motor home and staying at Coulee Playland when we noticed a large spot of oil under our right rear tires. We called Are Vee In A Fix. He came to our site, determined what the problem was, a leaking rear axle seal. Had to replace saturated brake pads also. He ordered the parts, and returned the next morning to complete the repairs. Not an easy job wrestling those big dually tires off and on a five ton axle. I would recommend Jack Payne to any travelers or locals for their RV repair work.Mike RundlettLake Havasu City, AZ

On Friday evening, 29 June, we experienced a major malfuntion on our 2017 Tiffin. Out of nowhere an air system alarm started blaring, the front end of the bus hit the pavement and the coach died. Jack asked some questions then motored over to Brewster WA to have a look. He determined that the main air line into the tank loosened and air pressure was lost. It seems that the good folks at Tiffin failed to adequately seal the lines thus they vibrated lose. A No Brainer I have addressed with the manufacturer. Jack was reasonable and willing, Great Service!

Jack Payne took $4600 from us, and wouldn't show a single receipt to prove he spent it on our new solar parts. He bought obscure Chinese made products with no manufacturer, lied to our faces and is a complete criminal in business. We went to the Courthouse to open a small claim against him, only to discover he has a horrible reputation locally, and has been sued before, for the very same. How he lives with himself I cannot even imagine.
