Previous visit was disappointing thus my review reflected that, maybe they were just having a bad day that day.I was in a few days ago and was assisted by a wonderful 'old man just standing around' (his words not mine) come to find out the 'old guy' was the owner... 🙂 anyway, a much more pleasant experience... I guess we are all entitled to a bad day once in awhile.

Best customer service and products around. Karl and staff are all knowledgable and can help you find what you need. I've bought a speed queen washer and dryer new stove, lamps, pictures and lots of household goods and gardening supplies. Never disappointed with purchases or experience here. If they don't have it, you don't need it. They have 3 floors from mattresses to sofas to appliances to paint to gardening to kitchen and plumbing to guns and hardware they have it all in this store

Dishwasher broke and Krogen's took great care of us. Got fabulous service as usual. They sent someone to take a look, declared our old one not worth fixing, helped us find a wonderful new one we love and connected us with a plumber for installation. It couldn't have been easier and we will definitely be back!

Karl and staff are always helpful finding what I need, prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected as a small town business can't compete with big box stores or online stores, that's the trade off for getting customer service and being able to go locally to get something asap. They have a little bit of everything plus rental service and small engine and appliance repair.

It's a hardware store with your average variety of tools, nuts & bolts, etc. They also rent tools and equipment. I don't regularly rent items, so I can't give a fair comparison of prices.However, the nuts & bolts are priced individually, rather than by weight. This can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what job you're doing or if you want to buy a few spare screws. (in case you drop a screw off a roof, like I did)Krogen's is a family-run business, so you can make purchases knowing that your money isn't going to some corporate headquarters somewhere.

Well stocked store and very knowledgeable sales people. I visited this store to get an insecticide to kill ground bees. The sales person recommended a dry powder product that has been very effective in removal of three underground nests around my rural house.

I'm not sure many people realize they have furniture upstairs and mattresses down stairs. They also sell a small selection of firearms. Staff is always willing and wanting to help.

About the only hardware store in the town of Boscobel other than Gassers. The prices can be high, depending on what your buying. The biggest gripe I have with this place is that Ive never really had a good interaction with the employees. It seems everyone who works here is always in a bad mood. Either way, they do have a UPS drop off and sell electronics on a payment basis if needed. If you want a tv tho, id just go to walmart.
