While on my way to get my morning coffee, I was presented with road constructions. This isn't new, they have been there for weeks. They have made sure to leave "some" space for those to get around to their homes and the Drive thru as they have blocked access to exit or enter the parking lot. I found a way to get around a piece of equipment that was moving at the speed of smell in the coned designated lane I was in. As I made my move to go around the equipment, which also means I briefly used the on coming lane. Got to the the drive thru to find I was chased down by a worker in a truck all the way up to the speaker of the drive thru. Pulls up next to me, I roll my window down because he is clearly ready to beef... curses me out for using the opposite lane to get around. Mind you the people taking my order can see and hear him yelling at me (I work at this store, everyone on the headset heard him). With the constriction, it is virtually impossible to enter the drive thru any other way, so I did what any other normal person would do, get out of their way as fast as possible. What's strange is a runner ran right through the exact zone I drove through and I seen no reprimand for him.I have a feeling I am not the first person who has done it and I was the target of his frustration. The issue I have is... its disturbing that he would take it upon himself to chase me down, in his company truck, and further have the ability to block me in if I was too scared and needed to leave. Even if I did do something seriously wrong , which I am not sure it was that big of deal, he had no right to approach me in any manner that was aggressive or abrasive. If he was willing to go this far, I cant anticipate his next move. Also, I am almost positive that had this been a man who drove around him, the man would have never been approached at all.

This was the worst job I’ve ever had. If you’re not part of their good ole boy network you are treated like garbage. I have personally seen people get fired for getting injured. They hold you hostage once you go out of town and they wouldn’t let people go home for holidays. Upper management have no experience in the fields that they are managing. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before I started here. Terrible company. Do yourself a favor and don’t get sucked into this company.

Gives their employees no option as to whether they will be working out of state for large extended amount of time (aka over 5 months). Additionally, they have no understanding of their employees and work them to death (had to work our wedding day and through other far-predetermined dates). This company needs to re-think how they are able to be a company and start treating their employees like human beings.

Tore up my yard to replace my gas meter. Just left a massive pile of dirt and did not turn my gas on. My house has been without heat for 2 weeks because no one will come and turn it back on.

Outstanding company!! The village of alto was told 7-10 days for power after the tornadoes went thru and just over 48 hrs we all had power. Great company and very hard workers!

A Michels employee named Brian stopped to help me on a cold evening while I was stranded on the side of the road. He was kind and caring. THAT'S the kind of person they hire, has to be a great place.

I Do not like going here. They make you watch a safety video, then ask you to sign a waiver, to free them from any liability of getting hurt. Rich trying to get richer. Otherwise not too bad.

They obviously don't train their staff on how to properly represent the company or make sure they're educated about proper road rules. Recently while driving on Interstate 81 around the Carlisle area in Pennsylvania I entered the highway next to several of their company trucks, entering the highway where I get on is difficult due to no merge area, but after I was on one of their trucks deliberately went the same speed as a tractor-trailer in the right lane for over 5 miles to prevent anyone from passing. Once I was able to pass this truck I did so from the right lane since they refused to move from the left lane even though there was no traffic preventing them from doing so and they were going the speed limit. The driver must not have been okay with being passed at all though because as I was looking to enter the right lane before my exit the Michel truck tailgated me and once I was safely in the right lane pulled up alongside me and the passenger smirked down at me. Obviously happy to see that safety is one of this construction companies top priorities, NOT.

Courteous crew. The crew working near Madras Oregon has gone out of their way to keep dust and debris away from our home. They access the work site on the east of our property and are working on the south end of the property. The crew foreman made sure we were able to contact him with any concerns or questions. The professionalism of the team has astounded me. If you have to have a utilities crew working on or near your home this is the company you want.

I worked for michels corporation. I loved the people I worked with but michels Corp doesn’t care about their people. Communications gets nothing they need and we were forced to work in subzero temps to fix broken equipment with none of the necessary tools to do so on our trucks. The divisions that make money are the divisions that get what they want. Because communications doesn’t make money like the pipeline division does they’re constantly cutting hours. And sacrificing g things at their employees expense in order to accommodate the budget allotted. They have a lot of very hardworking intelligent individuals working for them that they take for granted. If your in the right division it might be a great job. But at the end of the day your only a number to them. And they won’t back you for any reason at all if it costs them an extra dollar. When I worked for them, i went to Brownsville for training that required a drug test be take Beforehand. I did the drug test, no problems or complaints. Went to training and was phoned on my way home that the test came back positive. I am not a drug user and immediately called the testing clinic who proceeded to tell me that it tested positive for trace Amounts of a substance known as methadone. The MD asked me if there’s any reason for the positive result and there wasn’t! I have never in my life even seen the substance in question let alone used it. I couldn’t fathom it. There was no way. I immediately called the office at michels back and shockingly told them what the MD said. As well as the fact that I knew it had to be a false positive result and that I would immediately retest, but was informed that I would have to wait until the following Monday to hear back about a retest. I spent all weekend researching anything and everything to prove my innocence when I found my answer! 2 over the counter meds I had taken the day before my test were known to cause false positives for the substance. When I called back the clinic to tell of my findings the MD told me that they couldn’t do a test for the 2 over the counter meds because their labs only test for drugs. And I asked so then you can’t verify that that is not what caused the false positive result then? And he said no he can’t verify that. I told michels the next Monday of my findings. They refused to let me retest. told me I needed to go to treatment and was eligible for rehire upon completion of treatment for a drug that haven't ever used! Very very cold hearted people running that place. Definitely not the “family oriented always got your back” people they make them out to be. Very disappointing.

Horrible company to work for, sneaks people into unions, never actually follow OSHA laws rules and regulations, they help all of their employees cheat on any sort of class or certification they may have to take to get on a particular job. I have proof of that myself! Not to mention not paying their employees their last paycheck once they have left the company!! If OSHA actually ever looked into this company they would be shut right down.

The crew rolled my couch through my yard through the dirt getting it covered in mud and dirt causing me to miss large item pick up And basically destroying the couch to where I couldn’t give it away and then I have been completely ignored when trying to reach out to the company to get them to come take it what a joke this company is considering doing work with them know that their customer service sucks
