I had Rock & Tait remove the basement walkout on my house due to the walkout walls caving in. After removal, they closed in the old window with concrete, removed a door, added concrete to the lower door portion and added an egress window then filled the area in with sand. They did all this in one day. They came back and covered the entire area with black dirt, grass seed and straw in a later half-day. The crew was very knowledgeable about how to complete the job and worked into the evening to finish before rain came. I would recommend Rock & Tait to anyone requiring home repairs or yard work. Very professional and hard working group.

The first response I get when I tell people that Rock & Tait are doing the work on my house is, "They're expensive." I say, "Compared to what? Compared to the clowns who supposedly did the work 8 years ago that I'm now having re-done?"Here's what I got for my money. Someone answered the phone the first time I called. They set up an appointment for an estimate on that first call. They showed up for that appointment. At that appointment they looked over my entire house so that they would know what they were working with and even assured me I had another 5-10 years of life in my roof. Then the following week they presented me with two estimates, I didn't have to call weeks later to ask when my estimate would be ready, the first included my fantasy project and the second their rational project. My fantasy was almost twice the cost. We went through every aspect of the deal and the work to be done.The work got started about six weeks after signing the contract instead of six months to a year. The work began with removing all of the old materials. I had had a "bargain" company do much the same work 8 years ago, they put the new material over the old and all of it was falling off. Rock and Tait discovered that my roof wasn't vented properly during the first meeting and included that as part of the work. During the work they found a bit of water damage and presented me with photos of the damage and a very appropriate estimate for repairing the damage. The men who did the work were great. They were friendly and professional and obviously skilled at what they were doing. And they cleaned up every day before they left!!!Now the work is done and I love it. It is flawless. There is not one spot that is out of place. Based on the experience and the outcome Rock and Tait is worth every penny! And they guarantee the work. What could honestly be better?

I started out with Steve, he was the only contractor to repair the bedroom ceiling without ripping out all of the dry wall, that really was a game changer for me. Steve also gave up time to work with the insurance company which ensured coverage minus the deductible. When the job was started, the crews and crew leaders were exceptional and very respectful. We have had Rock and Tait do a few updates to our house. Even though it was a new house when we moved in, years later we realised some upgrades were necessary. Kane himself has helped us with suggestions that have really proven the right way with today's technology. And when we recently needed some adjustments to a prior install, again Kane showed up first to assess, and then said he'd get us scheduled. The issue was upgraded, fixed, and resolved. With all the places you can read or hear about on social media, it's nice to know the owners keep it contact with their customers.

The crew came and asked for direction to ensure they were in the right space, let me know how the progress was going and helped clean up some brick dust mess that was unexpected. They were kind and respectful and thanked me when they left. We had four inches of spray foam insulation out on our ceiling of our business, which was a large job. Our gutter work looks nice too.

I’ve had a few home repair and improvement projects with Rock & Tait on my house. Their consultation process is very high quality and friendly. However, the actual work itself was consistently disappointing until I advocated for myself multiple times. I was also asked to change my review multiple times, including an offer of gift cards. This means the high star reviews can’t be trusted.There was always issues that I had to reach back out to the company to have fixed. These ranged from things like sagging gutter installs, damaged landscaping (brand new by them, only to be damaged by another of their contractors), missed measurements requiring additional finishing work. There was pushed back project dates and an unfortunate change order post-demolition that tied my hands to a significant increase in cost. Although the customer service is good and everything was resolved in the end, I felt like I took on the role of supervisor rather than client, multiple times, for multiple projects.

I had an old deck attached to the back of my house that was in very poor condition. I wasn't sure if I wanted to replace it with a new deck or something else. Brad came over to assess the situation and offered me some options. In the end I decided to get rid of the deck and replace it with a cement porch and railings. The job went smoothly, and the crew was courteous professional. The end result is beautiful, and I'm very happy.

They sat down with us initially to explain everything and were very proactive with communication throughout the entire process. There were a few minor issues that I noticed and they were very quickly resolved. While they were not the cheapest bid that we got, they did work with us on the price, and we felt the value we got from it was worth the premium. The Rock & Tait team that came to our house to re-do our attic insulation and ventilation did a fantastic job. The team were troopers crawling in to some tight spaced to make sure our house would be air-tight. We were also very impressed with the quality of work and craftsmanship on our awning that needed to be replaced. It seems like with many of the contractors we have used in the past we would have to go through and "fix" things that were not done properly/done hastily. Not so with Rock & Tait. Rock & Tait replaced my roof but also foam-sealed air gaps in the attic along with blowing in insulation (after having an energy audit done). From start to finish, they were very professional. The salesman was honest and helpful. The workers were professional and worked hard. When the after energy audit was done again, air leakage was still found in an area. They came back promptly, found the problem and re-sealed. They are a little more expensive, but worth it.Service: Roof installation

I had new roofing installed on my house that was built in 1940, with the vast majority of the work being done in one day with them finishing up the following day. Josh, Ryan and the rest of the team were very professional and took the time to answer all my questions and or concerns.The following week, Tyler and one other individual came out to install seamless gutters with heating coils. Again, both were very professional and answered any question that I had.Both teams went above and beyond with areas that I had pointed out with some of my questions and took care of some minor things as a simple courtesy to me that weren't part of the actual work being done.Overall, I am extremely happy with the completed work and everyone involved with the two projects. I had an energy assessment earlier this spring and after receiving my detailed assessment I reached out to Rock and Tait. Our project was more than just insulating due to some complex design "flaws" within our home. Because of this, we felt that Rock and Tait were perfect for our project. They were super prompt when setting up a time to meet and evaluate the needs of the project. Within a few weeks after our our initial meeting, there were able to have the project completed. You could tell their team really cared about the quality within the project. The service was excellent and their communication throughout the project exceeded expectations. Called to see if they would come to our home and give us an estimate and the lady on the phone was rude and said, "they don't give out estimates if we would not use their services". When people are looking for estimates, they typically don't just go with the first estimate they receive. Would not recommend this company!

We used Rock & Tait to replace our roof. We had some wind damage to previous roof and we needed to go through insurance to get the roof replaced. We had contacted several local contractors to see what estimates would be and not only did Rock & Tait come through with very comparable rates, they also came through with excellent recommendations and professionalism. Other contractors either were not responsive, blew us off, or did not come through with up front costs/estimates. Rock &Tait, especially Brad who helped us, showed professionalism throughout the whole process. Brad helped us get the insurance company what they needed to quickly approve the project, and he was ready with detailed estimates, numbers, and quotes almost immediately after his first assessment of project. I cannot say enough great things about our experience. It started from the moment we picked up the phone, to the time they left our driveway.
