Simon is meticulous about details and also works fast. The limiting factors for how fast we were going was us getting the boards off the mill, and how round our logs were. Two people stacking was best for us. I also recommend having all your sticker wood ready to go to maximize his time. Simon ended up having to make some stickers for us out of our wood. Final note: bring an easy to eat lunch and water bottle out to where you are stacking, because he doesn’t need to break for lunch.

We had Simon from Woods to Workshop come and custom cut about 25 good sized logs of mostly white pine and a few red oak. He responded within minutes of me getting ahold of him! Knowing that we were looking to get these logs done quick, Simon said he was willing to cut on a Sunday! Like four days away! Things could not have gone better! We pushed the logs to him and he never slowed down once! I would highly recommend Woods to Workshop LLC for your sawing needs.

This was the 6th lumber milling we've done on our farm over the past decades and this was by far the best and most productive experience. We had a good size ground crew to move lumber and slabs off the mill and a good pile of pretty large pine logs plus some smaller hardwood logs. Over two long work days we stacked more that 5,000 board feet of accurately milled lumber. The mill is pretty new, well maintained and turned logs hydraulically. We were very satisfied with the process and final products. His website is well organized and very informative.
