You need to stop at all the orchards around Gays Mills to truly enjoy fall apple season, and since Sunrise is the largest, you should pay homage to what they’ve done. Depending on whether crowds are part of the experience, you can decide if you want to go during Applefest weekend or just another time. The apples and treats (cider, donuts, pie, etc) are all good.

best orchard in the entire state. Lots of parking and a dog park next door with picnic table. many beautiful views nearby.

Very friendly friendly staff. Biggest variety of apples. Love their Apple Cider and fresh warm from the bakery on site sugar apple cider donuts. Apple Sundaes are delicious. Very picturesque up on the hill. Fun picture opportunities for the little one's play are. Clean facilities. Amish candy and many other gift items.

The lines can be long for the fresh apple cider donuts, however, they did move pretty quick. Enjoyed that the donuts were hot and freshly baked from their bakery in the back.

Last weekend, there were vendars in their park area. You needed to know the vendor location. Then, it was hard to use Google Maps on your phone for g.ps. And if your regular car g.p.s isn't updated.. it's useless. Plus some area it don't work at all. But there are 3 or more apple orchards there. A big one and a few on the way out. You should know where you're going before you get there with some kind of direction. We got separated from the other driver because of cars between us. But overall, it was a nice place and very busy the weekend we went. They have cider donuts and jams. plus salsa and apples 🍎 and t-shirts and trinket stuff, and if you find the right stations, you can taste.

Just love going here, and the frozen apple slushiee is wonderful. A sign outside the entrance always let's you know which type of apples are available that day.They always have interesting product besides the apples, neat salsas, pop corns, there own bakery, Amish candy, jams & jelly, different honeys, etc..I personally love there apple doughnuts and apple cider.

Friendly staff, large variety off apples and other items. Apple cinnamon donuts are delicious. Can get very busy during the picking season. Well worth the trip.

What a great place to visit! Their variety of apples and apple products seem endless. You can also shop for jams, pie fillings, salsa, crafts, candy, home decor and even get your knifes hand sharpened here. Outside the building the scenery is very beautiful with places to sit and overlook the orchard and valley below. It was well worth the 2.5 hour drive to get there.

This is one of my families favorite orchards to visit. The donuts are amazing and fresh. Plenty of items to try and buy. The slushy apple juice was amazing. The service is fast and friendly. And there is an area for the kids also but we didn't stop there.

Very busy place on the weekend. Don't Iowa, MN, IN or New York have any apple orchards or what...? Great selection of apples, goodies and local artistry. Their apple cider donuts are delicious and their corn salsa is the best! I wish they'd get those Charlie's Chips back in stock to eat with the corn salsa. I've never found those chips anywhere else and they went so great with that salsa. Friendly customer service. Usually have samples out, but I'm assuming it's because of the Wuhan Virus that they didn't this time. Their pumpkin and carrot cheesecake rolls are so good, too.

Be careful about joining in on the bandwagon with the "Honey Crisp" hype. Granted, they are a super sweet crunchy apple best suited for eating fresh. They do not keep near as well as Macintosh or Cortland & they do not "cook down" & soften as good for pies & apple crisps.

Best orchard in the area. Great selection of apples and other goods. The apple cider donuts are delicious. Highly recommend the Cortland apples, they are my absolute favorite. Great staff and a bonus that it is a beautiful area to visit.

We had an amazing time!! Such friendly staff, and a great selection! We got honey crisp apples to try for apple chips and they were amazing!! Also got McCintosh to eat, delicious! We will be back for years to come :)

Most popular orchard for a good reason. 'seconds' -the apples that are not perfect- are a good price. The cider is delicious. ( US Extra Fancy apples are insanely expensive at any orchard.)I went to another orchard first because it was less busy, but after looking around that store I drove back to Sunrise. Worth it.

My husband & I have been to this orchard for the last 5 years. Always taking friends who never experienced it before. So enjoy going there. Alot of fun & the fresh apple donuts are amazing!! The only thing we missed out on this year were the Honeycrisp apples. Oh well..maybe next time.😁🌞🍎🍏👍

We love visiting this orchard every fall. The free samples, gift shop, assorted jarred items, cheeses, fresh hot cider donuts, and of course fresh crisp apples makes for a wonderful visit.

This was 20 plus year of visiting Sunrise. I highly recommend going, it is definitely worth the trip. I never leave without a box or two of Honeycrisp apples. They are so versatile eating, baking etc.

The corn salsa was delicious and gone in a week. We also bought a few pounds of Dudleys which for baking an apple crisp.Sunrise Orchards was a treat before heading back home. An excellent time.

Purchased some of your honey crisp apples in Portage recently. Absolutely the best apples I've ever eaten! I mean the BEST apples I've had in my entire life! These things were perfect. Oversized, sweet, crunchy, an all around fabulous apple. My wife usually only likes cooked apples but even she loves these honey crisp apples. You should be so very proud of such a superior product!!

Huge open space to wander with large selection delicious, firm/crisp juicy apples at reasonable prices. Also always get the apple donuts/lots of different types of treats/foods. I always find at least a few items in their gift shop too.
