I was extremely happy in my experiences with Metal Roofing Systems Inc. The estimate was given very promptly. This was very important to me as I am a small business owner myself. Arrival for appointments were prompt. All details were immediately discussed. I was so impressed with the company rep , the product & the warranty .I signed the contract that day. Just had my metal roof installed and it looks GREAT! Nothing but professional from the presentation, to the workers! They showed up timely every day and cleaned up every evening until the project was completed. I am SO happy with how it turned out and best of all... no more leaks!! I purchased a home with a pre-existing metal roof. As luck would have it, a month after closing we discovered a leak infiltrating the attic. The good people at Metal Roofing Systems came out and did a spot repair but also pointed out the rest of the ridges were vulnerable to the same leak. They got me a great deal on parts, showed me how to install it myself, and were highly responsive whenever I encountered questions. They even came out to check some of my work!Service: Roof repair

I am very pleased my Oxford Shingle aluminum roof and it looks fantastic! This company did an awesome job with installation, being very careful not to damage extensive gardens I have around my home. Rob and his team were timely, friendly and cleaned up every evening before they left. They worked well with my solar installer. I am looking forward to never having to roof again, not having snow buildup or ice damns as well as realizing the energy efficiency this roof provides,My last 25-year asphalt shingle roof gave me 18 years and I was told I was lucky; most asphalt roofs are not even lasting that long. I now have a warranty that will take me past doing this again in my lifetime!

I requested a quote and set up a time for the sales guy (who, it turns out, was also the owner) to come out and take measurements. The guy shows up, takes measurements, then spends the next 2 hrs using high pressure sales tactics like giving quotes that were "only good until he walked out the door", throwing around a lot of calculations without showing me how he got to the final numbers, and suggesting I was "smart enough to understand" without him explaining.The quote for aluminum shingles wound up being at least 2x higher than any other quote I had received (which included standing seam). If I installed it myself then it was only 1.5x higher than the next highest quote.If you bring this guy out, be mentally prepared. It's rough.

Excellent customer service from the first phone call throughout installation. In addition to installing our roof, they also replaced two skylights. The roof looks great and we get many compliments on it. I would hire them again but this roof should last forever!

There is a lot to review as the process from starting my roof to finishing my roof took 4 months and 2 days (and that does not include the time it took to deal with some issues that I had before the project began).The Good:• Jack Gugger (the owner) always answered my phone calls and if he was unavailable, he would get back to me very soon.• Aside from a flimsy drip edge (that was not as advertised) on my lower roofs that are standing seam, the roof does look good (second story roofs are rustic shingle). Neighbors have stopped by to comment on how nice it looks.• Foreman was knowledgeable and accommodating to my concerns.The Bad:• After I had signed the contract, Metal Roofing Systems tried to increase the price as they claimed they had forgot something in their bid.• Project took way longer than expected. The foreman would often tell me he was going to show up and then would not show up.• My crew was subcontracted by Jack, which means there is less accountability to him or his standards. I asked Jack if he subcontracted all his work out and he more or less refused to answer me (Jack was always courteous and kind unless he felt you were being critical of him).• Drywall ceiling was damaged by water due to improper covering of roof during construction. When I told this to Jack, he refused to accept any responsibility and suggested I probably had water damage there before the project began (I watched the water drip into my house where I had not had water dripping before).• Three different kinds of underlayments were used on my house; one of which began to peel and separate after exposure in the Sun.• The original contract for my roof included installing the rustic shingle on my lower roofs, which (unbeknownst to me) would have been installed outside of the manufacturer’s specifications, which would have voided the warranty. Ultimately, I found the specifications and Jack defended himself by claiming that he had installed it in many applications like mine and hasn’t had any problems (which means he has voided the manufacturer’s warranty on many other people’s roofs).• Jack advertised himself as a member of the Better Business Bureau but hasn’t been a member since 2015.• Jack was always friendly on the phone until I claimed that I was being treated unfairly. At that point he would tell me anything good that he had done or talk about his hundreds of satisfied customers and mostly refuse to hear my criticism.• I was charged a premium price without the service.

Staff from Metal Roofing Systems replaced our old asphalt shingle roof with a shiny new metal roof late in the year, 2012. The bottom line is that they did an excellent job of that replacement. They had to battle increasingly cold weather, along with the occasional snow shower. Still, they proceeded methodically and finished the job in a bit more than a week. Workers seemed to be on the job during most of the daylight hours, rarely taking time to climb down for lunch or other things. Our roof is very steep and pockmarked with dormers and other objects, so the job was complex. But the work crew handled those complexities competently. Supervisors kept us well informed about progress, and when issues arose (inevitable), they handled them on the spot. When we complicated their work even further--by example, by requesting installation of gutter add-ons to accommodate a couple of rain barrels--folks graciously complied. We were very pleased with the process, as well as with the results.
