In the beginning, they were friendly and quick to get us on the schedule. They were a nightmare to work with once we ran into trouble.We called them in to assess an issue and complete a fix in our attic. The salesman, Abram, came out, looked in the attic and named a solution (that wasn't actually the fix we needed). He only glanced in. When the crew came out (they were fantastic; Louie was so informative), they found vermiculite. A call to Abram said we would have to hire someone else for removal but they could come back for reinstallation. We were more than willing to do this, but never received a quote for the reinstallation despite several attempts to ask for it. Because we weren't getting that, we asked for a refund of our deposit. Despite the contact saying nothing about withholding funds in this kind of event, they kept $250 for "expenses" and because there was a little work that could have been done on a wall (that was determined was not needed anyway). The salesman should have been more thorough when he came to quote, instead he blamed us saying we should have known it was up there, it wasn't his job. The attic had been insulated just before we bought the house so there was no assumption that it was there. The vermiculite was also buried under boards. We wouldn't have seen it if we had tried to check.Getting our partial refund was also a nightmare. The office said they mailed it out, but then "found" it in a drawer a week later. They mailed it out then and two weeks later we didn't get the check. They promised to send the salesman with it the next day. That got delayed again. When I finally got the check, I found not only did they have my name spelled wrong, but my address was also incorrect. Which is confusing since both the salesman and crew made it to our house with no problem.Working with this company was extremely frustrating and would never recommend the hire. I do want to reiterate, though, that the actual work crew was fantastic.

I have been working with S&E to update my home. From quote to completion they have been a dream to work with. After the initial work was done, there was a need for follow up related to work being done by a different contractor. Again it was very easy to work with the whole team. We even had the same technicians (which was great to see familiar faces) Even with a few miscommunications along with way, everything was always cleared up quickly with all my questions being answered. Great staff all around.Highly recommend !

I’m so happy I went with S and E Insulation when it came to focusing on my sons bedroom. When we moved into our new house his room was either boiling hot or ice cold. S and E came out and insulated the attic in a day. When it came time for me to come home they were leaving and with a friendly goodbye they were on their way. Upon inspecting the bedroom it was cleaner then the day we moved in. Now I can finally sleep at night knowing my son is sleeping in safe temperatures. Thank you S and E!
