We worked with Andy to update our kitchen, dining room, living room, and laundry room. Andy is extremely knowledgeable and very detail oriented on his projects. We really appreciated his advice when making design decisions and he was able to give us great recommendations for materials to use. He also works with people he trusts, and it showed in the quality of the work. He communicated very well all throughout the renovation and he was easy to get a hold of if we needed anything along the way. Throughout the project, he was clean and organized with what he was doing. He was incredibly efficient and was a very hard worker, and the whole project stayed on track with the timeline we had discussed. We couldn’t be happier with how the final results look, and we want to keep using him for all future projects!

We took on a very large remodel of an older home recently. From the first meeting with Andy I could tell we would work well together. Back in early 2022 I was talking with a friend in Lake Tomahawk, and decided to build on my property in the Town of Crescent. By the end of the conversation, we thought that renovating my almost 100 year cottage was the way to go. So I put on my purchasing hat one more time and searched out a contractor to make my dream come true.After several interviews with contractors, I decided to work with Andy Laska of Modern Interiors LLC in Rhinelander Wisconsin. Andy and I reviewed options to renovate the cottage, however, it was determined that tearing the cottage and starting new was the only option.That was the best option and I am totally delighted with my new home. Never building a home this was a new, exciting, project for me. From pulling permits, going over drawings and selecting everything from flooring to shingles, Andy made this entire project a dream come true.One important factor in my decision with going with Andy was removing some of the items from the cottage and put into my new home. I have four post with the jack posts, that frame by gorgeous stone fireplace and my patio door. The porcelain farm kitchen sink was carefully removed and stored.Andy is professional, honest, respectable contractor. Working and communicating with Andy’s sub contractors were like working with an extension of Andy. We were not looking to do a major renovation of our home. Long story short, due to poor insulating/ventilation practices in our attic done by previous owners, we had 13 of our 20 roof trusses fail. Not exactly sure what to do, we reached out to several different contractors in the area and Andy was one of the few that actually returned my inquiry. He met with us at our home and discussed our options. Shortly after that work started and we cannot be happier with the work that was done. Not only did they fix our roof truss issue, the upgrade to our home is out of this world. Andy and his crew are top notch. Andy and his team are simply the best of the best. They showed up every single day, rain or shine. My home buildings experience was very positive and actually fun and I attribute that to exquisite level of communication that Andy constantly had with my husband and I. He was always very respectful, open, and honest. We engaged with Andy from Modern Interiors in January 2021 to remodel our basement. Our project included rehabbing a bathroom, adding a kitchenette, and removing and replacing the flooring, walls and ceiling in the great room. Andy made great design suggestions and also advised on creative ways to best utilize the space. He transformed the look of the basement by creating a custom wood ceiling and he was able to match the wood paneling on the walls from another room that we wanted to replicate.Andy was very responsive and communicated with us regularly throughout the process. In spite of supply chain disruptions, his excellent project management skills and his strong relationships with sub contractors (plumber, electrician, carpet, granite) made for an extremely smooth process.
