I had 21 windows installed in January over 5 days and the windows look good and operate well. The installer was professional and communicated with me throughout the install. I had an issue with the inside joints on my sliders that were not cleaned off and the installer fixed that and the trim piece that covers the balance on the double hung can slide up and down which can expose the balance, works fine just not a good look. Also had one slider missing a screen which can happen, the installer called to report I needed a replacement but still have not received a replacement or an update going on 3 months since the install. Overall I have been happy with the windows but not impressed with how the customer feedback is generated by the customer and not the company. A phone call during the install to see how things are going or right after may have helped clear up any questions I may have had.

These guys do great work. I loved the way everything had turned out. This was quite a challenge for these guys. I had some unique support post that they had to make and then work the countertops around the post. Turned out beautiful. And my front door install is so nice and airtight now. Very happy with how beautiful everything turned out. And all the guys were so great to work with.

We filled out a card for a free estimate for new windows at a local fair. A year later, we got a call to set up an estimate. I explained that we weren't ready to install windows now and was told the estimate would be good for awhile. We met with the salesman who gave us a very long presentation and finally an estimate. We were asked to make a decision on the spot, because the "deal" we were getting was going to expire. We had the windows installed but the installer did not have our sliding glass door. "It's in LaCrosse, I'm going to see if someone can deliver it". Two weeks later it came in. In the meantime, our windows had stickers all over them from the manufacturer that we asked to be removed. Three days in a row, we were told someone would be coming but never did. He finally randomly showed up one day and cleaned the windows. We got the sliding glass door installed, but it didn't come with a handle. We were told it was ordered and would be here in a few days. We also noticed some exposed wood under the door that needed to be covered. Two weeks later, the door handle came in and I was told that the exposed wood would be fixed when the handle was put in. This did not happen and I had to call back to have the wood covered. We were also told that the salesman would come back at the end of the project to assure our satisfaction and present us with the warranty information. We were never contacted to do this and I had to ask for the warranty info to be mailed to us. I'm still waiting for it to come. For the money we paid for this project, we shouldn't have had ANY problems, much less the multiple ones we had. We will not use this company again.UPDATE- a few hours after posting this review, I was called by Ethan, the Director of Marketing, who took a very vested interest in our story. He researched the situation and explained a few occurrences to us. He assured us that the company will make changes to improve future projects. I felt that he was sincere and genuine. He got us the needed documents and we will consider trying this company again.

He was also very kind. One month later AJ, the installer started the project. He explained everything he would be doing. Eric, the plumber came when AJ was ready. The project took 2 days and it turned out beautiful. I would highly recommend River Valley Remodelers.

GO ELSEWHERE! Do NOT have work done by this company! However, if you love wasting your time on the phone or waiting for nothing to happen, this is the right company for you. Got 5 windows replaced, of which 2 were installed incorrectly. The only reason they came back to my house was to see if I had additional business for them. I did let them know the windows were not installed well because you could feel a draft. Long story short, we are now at visit #4 and job is not done.

I needed a basement window put in. Guy that showed up was rather strange. He wanted an entire home tour. Then asked person questions of my kids. He said he'd send me an estimate but instead his coworker emailed me. I explained I was waiting in dante. The coworker then texted me 4 times and called. Finally I said I would be working with someone else because it's a bit to much. To please leave me alone. An hour later Dante texted me claiming they couldn't install 1 simple window. They claimed it was too much lol. Beware.

Hired them to wrap my window sills/trim. They had terrible communication. The job was scheduled to start way late, days after it was supposed to be finished. It was rescheduled 3 times. 2 of those times no one called or texted to tell me it got pushed back. When they "finished" the job I had two or more windows that were not caulked. They also broke multiple pieces of siding on my house, and once again no one told me anytbing about this or made an attempt to call or text me about the damage. When I brought it up, Anthony lied and tried to say it wasn't them. After I insisted that it was (they have a picture of that very window and siding in our contract with no damage) he basically told me that it didn't matter because my houses siding is old and already has some existing damage. They never fixed the broken siding. Anthony only took $50 off my $2500 bill. Safe to say I'll never hire this company or recommend them for anything ever again.

I am exceptionally pleased with the quality, care, and expertise of everyone at River Valley Remodelers. From the moment that Adam Reichenbach and Alex Jackson arrived to quote our roofing project, I knew my home was in good hands. I was constantly impressed by their knowledge, insight, and attention to detail; they clearly understand what is needed not only by code but also by the Wisconsin climate and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. During the construction process, I was wowed by the professionalism and efficiency of the team. We have a very large roof, an unused chimney we wanted removed, a damaged metal roof, and old shingles that had been hiding under the metal... and the entire project was done in two days. Lightning quick! I love everything about our beautiful new roof, and look forward to enjoying it for decades to come. I would highly recommend River Valley Remodelers to everyone thinking of home improvement projects and will be calling on them for all of my future projects (We're already on their list for a bathroom remodel!). Edit: They sent us some cups and some great chocolate chip cookies..Edit: They have redone the door.. Much better job.. They sent 2 guys instead of just 1 this time..Make sure that your contract has all the details before you sign it!***Original review***$3400 to replace one door, with the wrong door, so that it swung out instead of in which makes a screen door impossible.I have waited to post this review until I could cool off a bit.They knew that there was some water damage which is apparently why they felt it should cost that much. We trusted them.When the workman showed up that day he was apparently not informed of what the job would entail.He thought he was just replacing a door... for $3400!I had already made 2 payments to the lender they set us up with before they did any work at all, even though no funds were supposed to be released until we were satisfied.They tried to tell me that was not the case..They were recommended to us by Angi and they told us at the first meeting with the salesman that they had paid for that referral. Not what I thought Angi was...So in summation, get a clear contract..

They are expensive and harass! I was called multiple times back yes, that is good, but I told them they are too expensive for my situation on where I live and to leave me alone. Then today on November 21st, 2023, they stop by my door physically to ask me about it which the initial inquiry was back in July 2023 and I told them thank you over the last few months but, I’m good and I told them I already told the representatives I spoke to on the phone thank you and I’m good, but then still wanted to stand there like I was going to let them in to hear there sales pitch or something. Thank you but, no thank you and Im starting to feel harassed now and they just looked at me said not sure who I spoke to, and I said it was someone in there company a couple of different times. Oh and I never contacted them directly it was through a stupid site that I sent an inquiry and somehow it was connected to Angie’s list bringing me this company. And no it wasn’t a Angie’s list rep I talked to about not contacting me, it was the reps directly to the company as that is who they introduced themselves as. Angie’s list just like any company does introduced themselves and who they work for. And why I say too expensive, long story short had a quote to fix my roof from them for an old trailer, and the amount quoted should have been for a stick home and could do a whole roof on a large square foot home, not a cheap and not my forever home tiny mobile home.

My husband initially contacted River Valley Remodelers back in August in search of a siding quote. The sales guys came out and gave us a bid on siding, but during his measuring, he noticed how rough our 30 year old wooden windows were. They had broken seals, mold, broken cranks, and just weren't energy efficient. Knowing the siding was more of a cosmetic change and windows were more of a need, we skipped the siding and put a deposit down on new windows.Fast forward to early December, Anthony and his crew, Nate and Nate, installed our new windows. They were friendly, respectful, and didn't mind our dogs whining and barking at them the entire time. We changed our front bow window into a bay window, changed our kitchen window to a garden window, and updated all of our bedroom windows. When changing out the windows, especially the bay window, the guys were considerate in tarping the large hole in our house until they could get the new window in. It was a colder day and I appreciated the effort to keep our house as warm as possible while they made the change. Once all the windows were installed, I had a few small touch ups I wanted addressed, and they were quick to resolve any of my concerns.I am in love with our new windows and i've already had one neighbor wanting a garden window of her own!I also wanted to comment on communication, which seems to be lacking in general in the contracting industry. River Valley Remodelers was by far the most communicative of any contractor we were in talks with. Even though we had a slight hiccup in the scheduling of our window measuring appointment, the office staff was very apologetic for the inconvenience and quickly rescheduled the appointment to get those measurements completed ASAP.
