I bought a house from them a couple months ago and there are quite a few things wrong with it. First the roofers they used left tools on my roof. You can see the handle sticking out of my gutter where it’s lucky the gutter even caught it and not someone’s head. Then my gutter fell down damaging the lower gutter and they say damage from “storms” isn’t covered. Well when you looks it’s because whoever installed it never attached it at the top with anything, it was just dry fit. And make sure you run your sprinklers because apparently those aren’t covered even though they will tell you they are for the first time turning them on. They don’t believe in soundproofing either because I can hear my neighbors phone going off in the morning and there is also no soundproofing from the garage into the house. It sounds like people are working with the door open. I would expect these things from a used house, not a brand new one but I guess no one takes pride in their work any more.

Ed and his employees are helpful and efficient. We needed a new furnace and AC and they provided several options and then followed through with estimates and ordering in a timely manner. The installation process went smoothly and work completed extremely well.Brian & Laurie McCormick

We purchased our home in the Pointe 18 months ago, and cannot say enough good about the quality and craftsmanship. We relocated to Cheyenne on short notice, and had to find something quickly to avoid renting and moving more than once. The listing popped up 5 weeks before the closing of our current home, and with the help of Cynthia Biggs and the owner of Monument Homebuilders, we were able to close on our home and move into our new home in Cheyenne, right away. Even more significant, we wanted to have a finished basement, and they were able to do that in that same 5 week period of time! We did have 3 very minor warranty issues upon moving in, reduced water pressure in a shower, one piece of missing siding and a missing door seal. We reported these items to the 2-10 Home Warranty program and had them fixed in a timely & professional manner. Our home is solidly built, with very good appliances, granite countertops, and a strong furnace and air conditioning unit. Our home is kept consistently warm in Winter and cool in Summer. We highly recommend Monument Homebuilders, based out of Cheyenne, WY!Services: Landscaping, Deck construction, Project management, Predesigned floor plans for homes, Interior finishing, Home building, Interior design, Roof building, Concrete pouring, Flooring

New Home Build: We were excited to get into the process early, and looked forward to such an amazing life moment for all of us (family). However, when we noticed things that needed repair prior to closing (and were told to put blue tape on them and made a list to our/their realtor Cynthia Biggs), the things we were promised would be fixed, were not done by closing. This began our frustration..We had so many issues that either took months to fix, we had to fix, or were not fixed at all.-The cement in basement had large cracks and we would not purchase until they were fixed. Cement on the driveway had to be completely removed and replaced due to immediate cracks. We are now seeing cement cracks across the steps and surface of the driveway and were told it is just "cosmetic".-When we moved in, the electricity in the master bath wouldn't work. We called Damien (Monument project coordinator) and she said she would add it to "the list" - things that needed to be done. We asked for their electrician's name and got it taken care of ourselves.-The kitchen lazy susan turntable was not installed properly and wouldn't move. This was mentioned on our list of items to fix before closing. After a month of living in the home, we decided to take it on ourselves to call Schrolls Cabinets. They came out free of charge and fixed the lazy susan and the two drawers that didn't close (due to poor installation). We are thankful to them.-We just paid a dishwasher repairman (Monument said it wasn't under warranty) to fix our dishwasher because it would not close properly to run it. The man that visited said he has been on many thousands of calls, and has never seen a washer just placed in, with nothing to hold it. He was shocked that they just put the unit in with nothing to hold it in place (no brackets). The unit simply tipped so we couldn't close the front. We paid him to install the brackets that normally would have been put in.-Our deck had many issues that our realtor agreed needed to be fixed. We were promised that the owner of the company would come out to look at it twice. He never showed up either time and Cynthia gave us excuses (COVID, not feeling well). We were left to deal with it on our own, and have hopefully found someone to help fix their mistakes.-We had many things that were not fixed until we spent so much time and energy to get Monument back in (several months after closing). We have the issues documented with dates and pictures - something no-one expects to have to do when dealing with the huge task of moving.-The person our realtor Cynthia Biggs (who wouldn't return calls timely after closing, and when she did had excuses why she didn't call for long periods) said we need to work with Monument directly on items after closing is Damien (project coordinator). Damien is a "NO" person who tells you what they won't do (not under warranty) and very little with what they will, after you close.I wish everyone who chooses to deal with Monument, a better experience than ours.Services: Landscaping, Garage design & building, Paint indoors, General repairs & maintenance, Project management, Exterior painting, Drywall installation, Plumbing fixture installation, Flooring

New construction. Did not install shower doors, AC unit, rebar left sticking out 8 inches in my garage. Supposedly warrantied my home, but you have to login to a portal then go into another portal to let them know to which they will let someone else know something isn't working.Found every excuse not to do something.Service: Home building

BUYER BEWARE!...I bought a house from them in Gillette, and I've had the house for 3 years now. I've spent most of those 3 years finding leaks and fixing their poor workmanship. I have had to fix leaks in my window sills, leaks in my garage and leaks in the attic. I've had to fix my dryer vent pipping, I've had to fix the duct tape job on my air ducting in my crawl space. This winter I had to figure out how to keep the snow from plugging my hot water heater and furnace. I've had to fill numerous gaps in the walls in the crawl space to keep weather and bugs from getting into the crawlspace over the course of two years. The contractors they had for concrete cut corners so much that they had to replace most of the neighborhoods' driveways (including mine).Last night I came home to water dripping from the ceiling of my kitchen, and it was from cheap vent fittings on the roof.I've spent more time fixing this house then enjoying it. When Monument sells a new house, they should put 'Fixer Upper' in the title. My neighbors had part of their garage ceiling cave in from water damage, and Monument was going to refuse to fix it less than a year after the house was built. Another neighbor down the street had mold really bad, and Monument refused to have professionals come in and fix it at their expense. The owners had to leave because their family had allergic reactions to the mold.Last night a friend of mine in town told me that they backed out two days before their closing because there were so many things wrong with the house they were about to buy. "My husband and I backed out of our contract 2 days before closing for: the cement in our basement was so cracked it would flake off, during our walk through we were told there were to be two vents per room....the carpet had covered where the other vent was supposed to be...instead of cutting the whole and putting a vent THEY PUT A PIECE OF WOOD over it and put the carpet over the wood, our main foundation wall was ridiculously bowed, our siding was two different colors on top of wholes in our siding that they filled in with black caulk, and the list goes on. Needless to say, the builder took us to court for not buying and was suing us for the price of the homes. The judge pretty much laughed at him and the builder had to pay our attorney fees, our earnest money back, as well as the extra money we paid toward the appliances. It was scary but I'm glad we stuck to our gut feeling and didn't follow through!"If this is a company you want to buy a house from, so be it, but I got hosed. These are the facts, no spin, just facts

they hire the cheapest subs possible and still don't pay them. this results in several issues. the most common issue I have seen (as we get called to fix their leaks) is the siding guys do not seem to know how to properly install tyvek over top of the roof flashing, this lets water run behind the flashing, there are no kick out flahsings installed at the bottom edge of roofs to divert the water out to the front of the siding and many of the houses have soffit installed incorect with no flashing or chanel at the bottom to seal it against the shingles. should you want a house that leaks then by all means get a Monument home.

Very very happy! Even 6 months after closing, I still asked for some small work to be done. They came over the week I requested and always fixed everything. Great quality. Thank you!
