Beautiful monument and beautiful hiking. If you have time, check out both the tower trail (1 hr) and the red beds trail (2 hr). You see tower from up close from the tower trail but some amazing views from the red bed trail as well! Parking lot was empty at 9 in the morning but was full at 12. The morning sun illuminates the window side of the monument and the after sun shines on the opposite.

Surprisingly nice monument and Visitors Center. I had to smile when I saw the alien at the entrance to the Visitors Center in t-shirt and shorts. Very appropriate attire for an alien! We took the tower trail and observed that some of the best views include the boulders at the base of the tower. Awesome adventure!

Great visit to Devils Tower! We hiked around the base. It was only about a mile walk on paved sidewalk. Some small inclines, nothing crazy. Dont forget to hydrate. The gift shop was nice, We purchased a few souvenirs. We saw Devils Tower in the movie "Close Encounters" years ago, so It was exciting to finally see it irl.

Loved this iconic geological wonder. I parked at the Joyner Ridge trailhead and took that to the Connector Trail and linked up with the Red Beds Trail. This gives you a more authentic experience with a variety of views of the tower. I had the trail to myself today, helps I went on a weekday in February. For an easier route just drive up to the base and there is a paved path around the tower. Either way, it’s worth the time, hope you enjoy it as much as I did.Restrooms: Not open in FebPicnic area: Lower area and plenty of benches to have lunch

Very nice visitor center, good bathrooms and an amazing view of Devil's Tower. The prairie dog town is also very cool, and the trails are well maintained.

Just a Sublime and Awesome Spot! Geological and Spiritual wonder! Views, hiking paths phenomenal, easy access and great succinct info on the history and significance of the monument and area, within visitors center!Most restrooms closed during winter months!Well worth the trip!

This was worth seeing and the small hikes around the base have some of the best views. I loved every moment of being here. Area was kept clean and the history around this monument is as interesting as the view is beautiful

Breath taking !!!Pictures do not do the Devils Tower justice. It is a must see. They are no words to describe the majestic views. Its easy to see why the Native American tribes consider the area sacred. You can feel the the presence of of God around this place. . The way the breeze flows through the Ponderosa Pines. It’s as though the the earth is trying to tell you something. If you go , find your own secluded spot and just sit there and listen.It’s a spiritual journey.I highly recommend.

Devils Tower is rooted in man’s unconscious like a geographic archetype of summoning. People have skydived and landed in top, rock climbed to play the bagpipes, and untold thousands have photographed and observed in person. Wyoming is a world unto itself. Every place I’ve been to while traveling from Idaho to South Dakota has been noteworthy and memorable.

What a magnificent place to visit. From the prairie dog town to the trails that lead to the tower. Worth seeing if you haven't had a chance. Staff is friendly and gives you maps and information about the park.

We enjoyed the trail around. Lots of information on the easy trail. Great for kids. The information center was helpful. We got a year National Park Pass for $80 current rate as of March 2024.

Fun stop on my road trip. Definitely worth visiting! It was snowing while I was there but the views were still amazing. My favorite part though were the prairie dogs!

Spectacular place to visit. You can see it from 13 miles away on a clear day. Trail was paved and a fairly simple hike. Watch out for rattlesnakes. We did come across one. I also managed to get stung by the many bees flying around too (we went in late July). The National Park Annual Pass gets you in here as well, which was an added bonus. Overall, this is a must-see if you are in the area. Heck, even if you aren't, take the time to drive here. It's totally worth it.

Poor planning on our part to not set enough time to really explore this national monument. No pets on trails as an FYI. Started on the 2.8 mile loop near the restrooms and after descending for about a mile turned around and came back. Did not feel like a loop.Restrooms: Pit toiletsDog-friendliness: Not dog friendly

Waited out the fog and it was worth it! Pictures just don't do it justice. Don't think you can see enough from the parking lot!, walk the trail up to the base. It's only about 300 ft (100 m). Nicely paved and wide enough for a wheelchair! Nice little gift shop and informative displays. The building next door has restrooms. Both buildings were built in the 30's and still look amazing. P.s.- don't forget to stop at Prairie Dog Town on your way in ( large grassy field), those critters are just Too Cute!Dog-friendliness: One of the most UN dog friendly parks we've been to! Not allowed to be held, on a leash or even in a backpack.

I absolutely loved Devil's Tower! You can see this for miles before you even get there and it only becomes larger and larger the closer you get. There is an easy, paved trail that encircles the monument offering views from all angles. The visitor's center is quite small as is the parking area, so I recommend arriving as early as possible.

This place is kind of majestic. Definitely a must see attraction if you're in the area. Walk the trail up to the lookout, you won't regret it. We arrived before they opened and the gate was open, in assuming allowing climbers in early cause we could see their lights on the side of the tower. Really neat formation!

Always a wonderful place to visit. There were several climbers while we were there and we enjoyed watching them. It was a bit scary when one slipped and fell about 20 ft before his safety rope stopped him. They've changed the walkway up to the base since we were here last. Much easier hike up (really handicap accessible now) and some very pretty glimpses of the tower along the way. They have a nice information area, and we enjoyed a talk from a volunteer about the area and the making of the tower. Both legend and scientific views. My photos range from the first glimpse of the tower to the Prairie dogs as you leave. There is a nice KOA with a gift shop area and another lodge and gift shop across the street. Plenty of parking and food also.

You need to see the centerpiece of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Parts of this monument were in the film. This place is a must see. Hard to explain unless you see it. There is a walking path that goes around the base of the Monument. You won't see any space aliens here, or will you? :)

During our travels, we drove from Rapid City to experience this iconic national monument. Tower Trails goes around the base of the monument to allow for magnificent views along the way. Climbing allowed. Native American prayers bundles throughout the area - please do not disturb them. Nice little visitors center with gift shop.

This place was great. It was in my bucket list and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my visit. The walking path was an enjoyable walk. It wasn’t too tough. My kids had no issue walking the whole trail. Great place for photos. There are a handful of over looks that give amazing views and great photo opportunities. People actually climb the mountain. We say a few climbers doing the deed. It was a site to see. I recommend if you have the chance and go see this places. I was lucky enough to catch a lightning strike on camera. This place was awesome.

This was such an unique experience to visit this massive rock butte formation. We were traveling through for and found it breath taking. They had plentiful parking and very clean restrooms. They area was heavy with tourists and we meet people from different parts of the country and abroad. The prairie dogs were so interesting to watch on the road into the tower

This is must see and no wonder the first national monument in the USA. At nearly 900 feet it is really impressive. We walked about 1.8 miles walking on the paved trails around the tower, ranger visitor area and parking lot. The trail has about 200ft elevation change but is paved and has lots of sitting areas. The surrounding landscape in and out is very beautiful. We spent about 1.5 hrs there stopping and taking lots of pictures. No dogs on trail, service dogs included.

It was very smokey the day we visited Devils Tower however the smoke made it that much more mysterious. We hiked the Tower Trail and really enjoyed the nature. I would suggest taking some binoculars as there a climbers on the rock, there is also some great viewing areas. The prairie dog habitat just off the road below the tower is great fun to watch.Restrooms: There is plenty of restrooms in the visitor centers area.

We visited Devils Tower National Monument in 1985 and again in 2023. Climbed the Boulder field in our younger days; hiked the Tower Loop this most recent trip. Watched the professional climbers from the Loop and our campsite. The visitor center was nice. Enjoyed watching the prairie dogs and we also saw a couple of deer. Riding our bicycles was nice, particularly because we didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot.

Come early and walk the outside trails too. The underground has lots of stairs but an easy pace with the tour guides leading. Introduction movie a must. Amazing history.Restrooms: Spotless.
