Did not stay at hotel but the Restaurant was wonderful. Lou is a great cook! She works Wednesday - Saturday, you can't go wrong. Her steaks are cooked perfectly. The hotel has rooms above restaurant that are historic, $95.Food & drinks: Bar and restaurant below rooms, located on the first floor. Great for history buffs.

Great, historic place, it's a bit out of the way, 50? Miles from Laramie with nothing else around except a museum we didn't visit that. Oh, there's a dinosaur graveyard down the road but fenced so we couldn't get in. We had lunch on a weekday/holiday and there were probably a dz other customers. We walked around, didn't see the rooms. The place is a bit on the 'rustic,' side for food prep but it tasted good.Food & drinks: Standard cafe type food. Our burgers and fries were good.

I tell you what, this is not your run of the mill restaurant. The food here is is SO GOOOOOD!!! Lu is a fantastic host and cook. Their club sandwiches are huge, fresh, and good quality. We all had a little bit of everything on the menu and weren't disappointed. One of them made lemon brownie bars and they were to die for!Rooms: The rooms take you back to 1911!Food & drinks: The food is so fresh, great portions, and at a great priceNoteworthy details: There is so much history here. It is definitely worth the trip to step out of 2023 and back into 1911.

5/5 would stay again! I’ve lived in Wyoming my entire life and haven’t had the chance to stay here before. The rooms were gorgeous, the bed was very comfortable. We had Suite 7 which included it’s own bathroom. The staff were very kind and breakfast was delicious! We loved the history and decor of this gorgeous hotel and we can’t wait to come back!

What a beautiful place! I highly recommend. Very small town feel, well maintained historical building and just wonderful hospitality. We arrived at sunset and just needed a place to sleep before we drove through the mountains (don’t want to drive in the dark) and we didn’t think it was a good idea. So happy we did. Gas station closed before we arrived but the lady in the Victorian made us a frozen pizza in the oven. Beautiful and very antique. Train runs through town but it’s better to hear and see that then sketchy surroundings in unfamiliar territory. We even see a Marshall drive by twice and that was reassuring. I am excited too enjoy the sunrise and breakfast before we head on out.

Had a terrible experience at this motel. They initially put me in their Bunkhouse hotel. TV didn't work. Asked for a different room. TV didn't work in this room either and the room smelled like something was dead in the wall. I complained again. They then put me in the old bank, cedar street addition. No blankets or sheets on the beds, just a comforter and no hot water at all. I reserved rooms for 3 days, left a day early because of the bad experience. They charge you for each day reserved and wouldn't refund me for the day I left early. Be careful on reserving rooms as they charge you for each reserved day whether you stay for them all or not and will not refund you. DON'T stay here if you don't have to. Definitely not worth what they charge.

This old historical hotel is just as it’s described and pictured. I love the history behind the old west and to be able to stay is such a place is fascinating to me. If you are not into old, creaky and small hotel rooms this is not for you. I’ve stayed at the Old Faithful Inn in one of the old not renovated rooms this is similar. It was a true honor for me to stay in the Judge Garth Suite. Everyone that I met that works here was polite, friendly and helpful. The salon is filled with history show pride in the past. But maybe I was just borne in the wrong era.

This is a 1960 motel in the middle of no where. You are not staying in the hotel. Beds are way out of shape. Window ac unit vary loud. The refrigerator was so loud i unpluged it . The bath room was clean but well used. I put all my belongings on the table for the night .If you just want to flop in .for $90.this is the place . The hotel was vary interesting with a dose of history. And the restaurant was big and has a bar..food was good and big servings..

I love this hotel. The staff is friendly and accomidating. The atmosphere is of the victorian era, down to the last detail. And, if you like the haunted feel of a hotel, this place has that too. They have an excellent kichen staff as well, with great food. The prices are more than reasonable. Thank you for a great experience!

Do you like "experiences"? Are you in the mood for "a little weird"--tonight?? It's a bit outta the way but the price is right. And chances are, you're gonna remember staying here.Adam diligently held down the late shift: we arrived around midnight. The morning crew was speedy and friendly: plenty of coffee.The rooms could have been a little better cared for. It was winter and they were obviously not very busy. But it was worth it.Also: random super friendly deer in parking lot must be getting fed.

It is a beautiful hotel but the food is horrible! We stopped there just the other day to get dinner on the way home. The cook was on her cell phone the whole time while making our food. My hamburger had absolutely no flavor and cooked so long it tasted like shoe leather. My fiance had their steak sandwich. Again no flavor and the meat was tough for him to chew.

This place is great! The staff is warm and welcoming and the hotel is clean as well as supposedly haunted!!!I didn't see anything spooky but my partner did. The woman in beige apparently made an appearance in the room we stayed in for just a moment then left. I will definitely be going back to try and catch a glimpse for myself.Some rooms apparently have their own bathrooms but our experience was with the communal bathroom which was very clean and totally not an issue.If you"need" the finer things out of a hotel then this place probably isn't for you but if you like a turn of the 20th century building experience with decor to match then you gotta check this place out. Rooms were reasonable priced at $50 - $72 and the beds/rooms were clean and no bed bugs! Win!

Stunning period rooms that were exceptionally clean. Our suite had a lovely bathroom with a claw foot tub. The staff were not only friendly and very tuned in to customer service, we saw them help some elderly customers to their cars( bad weather) and they knew all the regular customers by name and us new folks they learned our names quickly and greeted you like an old friend every time. I cannot recommend this lovely establishment enough. We were invited to the senior center in town to join in on their game night and we had an absolute blast despite us being years younger than everyone there. Wonderful, wonderful community!

We stopped at the cafe that had 3 employees total at the time of our visit. Despite that and an unusual number of customers due to the eclipse travelers the service was friendly and efficient and the food was tasty! I snuck upstairs to peek at the hotel spaces and it was like stepping through a time warp to 1880. Loved the tavern and formal dining room too!

Older style, can use some updating but does have an old school vibe. The biggest positive of this place ate the people. They were amazingly nice and accommodating. They made a big snow in situation bearable.

I was there for Battle of Old Wyoming X and had a great time. I ate at the restaurant there and both my guest and I had fantastic food. She had the french dip and I had a chef salad. The waiter/cook was knowledgeable and helped her choose a meal and I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the salad was. I have had many salads I was impressed. The town of Med Bow (ESPECIALLY THE VIRGINIA) is so welcoming to the musicians and guests I can not explain many thank yous I'd like to give each and every one of them.!

We were told the hotel that includes the restaurant only had twin beds and the Virginian hotel down the street had bigger beds, owned by the same person.The cost was $90, and it is a disgusting dump. I can handle an outdated hotel, but this place wasn't just outdated, it was gross.Maybe the rooms at the actual Virginian Inn are ok, but don't let them talk you into the place down the road.We ate at the restaurant, the service was good, the food was pretty good.

Lots of fun to just wander around and look at the old rooms. Each room is different and keeps that old west flair. Food was good and priced right. Sampled the green and red chili. Thumbs up on both. Staff was super friendly and we had a lot of laughs meeting everyone.

Very good food. Burgers and sandwiches. Home made soups. They also have a great salad bar. I didn't try the dinner menu. The service was great and the hotel is a landmark. They even let you go check out the rooms upstairs.
