This motel was in a cute small town that was quiet.. the receptionist let us stay there early we were so tired we checked in at like 11 in the morning..the room was just cleaned it smelled bleachy but I loved it it's better than smelling of cigarettes. They're pet friendly and liked my dog. Not too many places to eat near by but it was a nice little town every one was super friendly.

If I could give a "0 star" review I would.I booked this motel, through an online booking service almost 4 weeks prior to my stay (holiday weekend) about a week before I got a notice that they may have listed it at the incorrect price and the booking site was reaching out. Two days before my stay I get notified that they will honor my reservation for 3 times the rate I booked it.I can understand mistakes, but to raise the rate 3 times what I booked it at on a holiday weekend, when it was booked so far in advance seems to be a bait and switch on this locations side.Note, even after my cancellation, it was still listed for the same price I originally booked.

Do not stay here. Period. There are better rooms at better prices just down the road. The lady running the place is mean and nasty. The motel looks as though it's a horror movie set from the 70s. The broken down washers and trash out front was inexcusable. Everything in our room was either falling a part or broken.If I lived in this town I would be embarrassed to have this place open. It should be demolished and rebuilt. Again, just drive on to Sheridan. You'll thank me later.

I had to stop over at this motel quickly just to take a rest from a very long drive and I was not feeling well suddenly. I am thankful to Linda (who checked me in) for letting me rest a bit in the check in office and also for giving me some crackers as I was having a bad reaction to caffeine from a drink I had while driving. Anyway, the room was surprisingly VERY clean, neutral smell ( no funky odors), I felt safe and comfortable in the room and in the place. And the shower was surprisingly and amazingly great! -strong but not too strong that it hurts. Even the bed was firm enough to be comfortable. Overall a quiet place until 6am when trucks start to zoom by. So if you like to sleep in, good luck. Overall, a good stay. Very thankful for this motel and for the Saloon bar nearby. Thank you Linda.

We stayed here a couple summers ago, and I am sorry it has taken so long to give them the positive review they deserve. We arrived late at night, without a reservation, where we had planned to stay was closed for the night. We were greeted pleasantly and provided a clean and comfortable room at a price that surprised us for the quality of the room. The room wasn't big, but it was sufficient and it appeared that the bathroom was recently upgraded. This was a very good value. We left well-pleased

The best part about this motel is that it's cheap! The rooms are nice, but it's not so fancy that you feel out of place. The free breakfast isn't the best - just cereal, donuts, and toast; besides, the breakfast room smells strongly of smoke🙄. The bathtub faucet did have a leak in it that dripped all night, but it's not that loud.

The room was neat and clean. The lady that checked me in was not over welcoming, and the next morning I felt like she was stalking us, like she did not trust us. She asked if she could help me I replied I just would like some ice for my cup, her response was for your cooler? I had my cup in my hand and nothing else to carry ice in. Then she followed me in the room where the ice machine was. Also sign said breakfast, she never mentioned anything about breakfast. I would think twice about staying here again.

I would NOT stay here again. The bed was horrible, it felt like we were sleeping on a box spring, without the mattress. The bedding was thin and worn. There was mold in the bathroom. The whole place inside and out is in disrepair. Honestly, stay in Sheridan, it's only about 15 minutes from Ranchester.

Not good. If I could do zero stars I would. The rooms are very small, bedding thin, mattress like a box spring, mold on the shower curtain and bathroom ceiling. We couldn't wait to leave! It was very cheap, but still over priced.

Air conditioner did not work, WiFi did not work, bed worn-out, and roomed smelled. Pretty sure the place had bed bugs too. Horribly rude obese lady at front desk refused to even look at room. So rude. So bad we couldn't even stay here, lady refused to refund money. Skip this place and sleep in your car!!!

You get what you pay for, the tv was mounted on the wall opposite side of the bed so you had to lay on your right side to watch it. The room was clean , bed was almost to hard to sleep on comfortable.

I accidentally locked myself out of my room. I rang the door bell for assistance several times. Then I knocked on the "private entrance only" door. Then I yelled that I needed help. After 20 minutes of this, I decided to knock on two motel doors that had cars in front of them. At last, the woman who checked me in answered a door. I was so angry & cold! I asked her, "Didn't you hear me ringing the bell?" She said this was her daughter's room and the bell isn't connected to that room. I explained to her what had happened and all she could do was laugh!! I told her it wasn't funny and that I was very cold. She offered no apology, no recompense. I will never stay there again and I hope you don't either. Disgusting.

Horrible customer service, she is NOT pet friendly and absolutely rude. She wouldn’t even answer my questions, she said there was availability and then withdrew it after learning we had pets even though they wouldn’t be staying in the room (THEY ARE LISTED AS PET FRIENDLY) she refused to give me her name and hung up on me twice. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. I will be loading the phone call to my website it’s a joke.

Ranchester Western Motel is a great option for a cheap place to stay. Although basic, the motel provided everything you need and the room was clean and warm. The free breakfast is free for a reason and is just cold cereal, stale donuts, etc. Still...its worth buying breakfast and staying here than spending eons of dough on a Hampton.

I have stayed over at the Western Motel there in Ranchester over the years and have found Tom and Lynda very hospitable and the rooms clean and comforting. Had to drive to Dayton for meals but as that was always on the way to the mountains, who cared?

Probably the cleanest most reasonable priced well keep motel we have stayed in in 5 months traveling nice politely an helpful owner really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay there on return trip's

HORRIBLE! THEY CALLED ME ONE DAY BEFORE AND I CANNOT BE THERE BEFORE 6PM BECAUSE SHE HAS ERRANDS TO DO AND SHE ALSO CANNOT COOK DINNER BECAUSE OF THAT. AND I TOLD HER THAT I AM COMING FROM A LONG WAY, ALL I WANT TO DO IS DO MY CHECK IN AT 3 PM (REGULAR CHECK IN TIMING) AND TAKE SOME REST. BECAUSE OF SHE CALLED ME LAST MINUTE, I DO FULLY CHARGED CANCELLATION BY BOOKING.COM. BOOKING SEND THEM AND EMAIL AND THEY KEEP LYING ABOUT THAT AND THEY EVEN SAID 'YOU DONT HAVE RESERVATION HERE,YOU CALLED WRONG PLACE' LOLAFTER THAT SHE SAID 'IF I CONFIRM BOOKING'S EMAIL THEY WON'T PAY ME.THAT'S WHY I WON'T CONFIRM YOUR CANCELLATION' THIS IS THEFT!!!!!!! Small town motel. Very reasonable rates. This is not a big chain. 1 motel , locally owned. Perfect location for stopping on the way to Yellowstone.
