We stayed 2 nights at Ten Sleep Rock Ranch. Cabin was clean comfortable. The campground itself is beautiful. When we were there in Sept there were lots of apples on the trees. The creek running through the camp ground is beautiful and peaceful. The tent camping sites are quite small and close together but the fee seems very reasonable for tenting. There are refrigerators and a microwave for guest use. We stayed in a cabin but I felt the price was quite high considering that the bathrooms were not working and you had to use a Porta potty. There is an extra charge to use the showers.

Really exceptional location and camp run by an awesome pair of climbers. It really is luxurious to have WiFi, showers, toilets and sinks. The grounds are well kept and the ever growing deck space is an awesome place to spend a rest day. I know many climbers, myself included, who stay for the entire summer/fall season.However:1 single sink in a place with hundreds of climbers is a pretty wild concept. Another sink would be really nice.More importantly though: Quiet Hours at 10PM is stupid. Climbers cover a wide variety of lifestyles from the weekend warriors, to the remote gigs, and the absolute dirtbags. It's a busy campground, often crammed full, and it's next to a highway. Not to mention that the outdoors is just a noisy place in general. If a little noise keeps you up at night--wear ear plugs or deal with it. Forcing silent hours on everyone to accommodate the few workers stamps down on the evening social culture in favor of those who often are just visiting anyway. In recent experience, being quiet simply wasn't enough. Those who would complain to management expected absolute silence. This isn't a children's summer camp and having a hard curfew for all feels like a poor solution. I understand having quiet hours to mean "no loud partying" but it shouldn't mean "you literally can't make a noise or the weekenders will complain". Maybe a better policy would be "sometimes it's loud. It's a campground. Grow up, wear ear plugs, or deal with it."

I didn’t stay overnight, but the daytime visitor amenities are wonderful and an extremely reasonable price. While I’m not a climber, the vibe is great and the scenery fantastic. Stop by for a shower, to make your picnic lunch, or a quick swim in Ten Sleep Creek. Thanks for being so welcoming to those of us passing through!

This place is the place to stay for climbers. I have never been to a better camp site than this, The site is full of characters and amenities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owners are working hard improving and maintaining this place! Not to mention that they are very friendly and kind, offered us their truck for day use when our car was dead and called the mobile mechanic for us. Never take kind people like them as granted, come and stay, you will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay and thought the place was beautiful and cool. We are not climbers which is what the place seemed to be centered around but found it inviting nonetheless. We rented a cabin and it was comfortable and the price for camping was crazy cheap @$5 a person. Showers are $2 which is reasonable. There is a community fridge and sitting area. I think personal space is a little different for climbers than it is others so be prepared for others to be about 5 to 10 feet too close. Avoid the negative reviews about this place, it was a highlight of my trip.

Beautiful location with incredibly gracious owners who proactively support rock climbing in the region. If you're a traveler or a local there's no better hang!

Awesome camping experience. We parked our little tow behind camper next to the river and enjoyed relaxing on the deck, and climbing in Ten Sleep. Hosts are amazing, and it was nice to also be able to take a hot shower and get on wifi when needed for work. Highly recommend staying here!

Stopped here on a 3 week road trip. We were really hoping for showers, but they were out of service. The campsite that we reserved had someone in it when we arrived. The campground itself definitely caters to climbers. It looks like a great place for that, but it wasn't the best for a family with young kids. We moved on to Sitting Bull Campground because it was getting late and we didn't have time to troubleshoot the issue. We asked for a refund because of those issues, and they refunded 50% - a bummer since there wasn't a site for us when we arrived. It wasn't as clean or well-kept as NPS or state campgrounds. Again, looks fun for a young climber, just important to know what you're getting into.I wouldn't try to cross the bridge for the back sites with anything longer than a 15' trailer.

Place is geared towards tent camping. Though they say they can accommodate small camping trailers, would not recommend if you end up in a site that is over the bridge. The bridge and road are narrow making it difficult to maneuver.Bathroom/shower facilities were not available for use when we visited due to recent high rains. They did have porta-potties available but due to how busy they were, they were nearly full. Several campers mentioned that more were being delivered the next day.Otherwise, it is a beautiful location and would be a must stay site if you were tent camping and wanted a place nestled in the mountains next to a river.

Very cool place to camp, it was so beautiful right next to Creek. Listening to the rushing water at night and the stars in the sky was so pleasant.

Beautiful spot. Gorgeous deck to hang out on. WiFi if needed. Hot showers. Nice bathrooms. Super friendly environment. And the sounds of the river flowing make the traffic not noticeable at all, especially at the sites closer to the water. 10/10 would recommend if the above sounds like your idea of a good time.

Very nice facilities and people. Very close to the premiere ten sleep canyon climbing areas. Nice place to meet other climbers. The important thing to know is that everything is self-service. I had a hard time finding anyone who worked there, but if you walk around looking confused for long enough they will find you and happily take care of you. All of the sites are first come first serve, regardless of what the website says. But there is wifi, clean hot showers, fire pits, games, a communal kitchen. Everything you need for a great climbing trip!

The Ten Sleep Rock Ranch is very conveniently situated in Ten Sleep Canyon if you're intent on doing some climbing. The campsites are well-spaced and fairly well-maintained; the parking spots are clearly marked, and there's a good amount of space at each site to set up. There's a picnic bench and fire pit at each campsite. The amenities are nice as well; there are convenient toilets (though there are occasionally queues), and showers on site ($2). There's also a sink for washing dishes and a set of refrigerators with drawers where you can store perishables. The atmosphere is pretty quiet and relaxed, and the setting is beautiful. The cost is very, very reasonable as well; overall, I highly recommend it.Note: My review does not comment on recent controversies regarding the owner's route development in Ten Sleep Canyon, just the facilities themselves. There's ample commentary available on this for climbers to evaluate for themselves, in greater detail than I could provide here.

Great the climbing community now has a base to continue the ruination of a beautiful canyon. Nice hardware installations folks!! A true example of a “California couple” moving to a great state to vandalize and ruin what Mother Nature built. It took millions of years for this canyon to be what it was and since 2016 you have handily ruined it and it’s wild inhabitantsHope you all sleep well in your little liberal sprinter vansGo back to Yosemite before you create what you all ruined there

This is my second season in Ten Sleep and the Rock Ranch has been an amazing place for the community to gather. The property is incredible with the beautiful Ten Sleep Creek running through the property providing a safe haven during the summer heat. Don't listen to the reviews commenting on the owners being terrible people. Yes he has done some unethical stuff in the past, but the past is the past. These folks clearly have never interacted with Louis and Val. They are spectacular people willing to help out whenever with whatever you might need. They have both done an immense amount for the community here in Ten Sleep that often goes overlooked due to his choices years ago. My only criticism might be the early quiet hours. The main clientele here are climbers and in the summer we often don't get back from a day of climbing until 9:30 or 10. It would be nice if we got a little more time to hangout and socialize after we make dinner.

BEST CLIMBER CAMPGROUND EVER!It’s economical ($8/person)Cheap showers that you can pay forVia Venmo and PayPal.Nice shaded area with WiFi for those working and in school.Beautiful little area on the creek to swim on hot days.Everyone seems pretty respectful of quiet hours and it’s just a general good vibe.Oh and as someone who was bornIn the Great State of Wyoming- I’m happy that this tiny little campground exists. Ten sleep is as wild and free as anywhere in the lower 48!It’s unfortunate that a vocalMinority of NIMBYs and Nativists spew hate (y’all need to find a new sport- climbing in 2022 is inclusive and accepting of everyone from everywhere)Regarding Chipping and manufacturing routes all I’ve got to say is: #doubleStandard

I wanted to go camping here because I love this area of the state, so i drove here. I got there and it was packed very full of mostly rockclimbers in their 20s. I realized this was not really the place for me, to just sit down and hang out and smoke and camp its more for like rock climbers. So i instantly turned around and found a nice place in worland. So if your from wyoming and just like to be alone in nature this is not the place for you. This is a great place for cali dummies and rock climbers who dont know wyoming

Admittedly, I haven't camped here. But I've visited to buy showers (and connect to the internet) on a regular basis during my stay in Ten Sleep. I think prices are amazing. $5/person to camp! Try finding a $2 shower anywhere. They're $8 at the RV park in town. Truck stop shower prices are absurd. My only pet peeves are that the floor outside the shower is often a pond(a drain outside the shower stall would be helpful) and I'd encourage the owners of the campground to enforce the rule that pets should be leashed at all times. I've been sitting in the picnic table area with my leashed dog, and had unleashed, unsupervised dogs run up, get in my dog's face, and growl/snap at him. A couple of times now. One also tried pawing through my bag of belongings after snapping at my dog. 😕

Nice camping area for rock climbers. There's a sink for washing dishes and a fridge if you need to store some food. Showers are $2. I wish they hadn't as aggressively lined the road with large rocks, it makes it difficult to turn vehicles around.

There's WiFi, filtered water from all the faucets, a common area with shade and benches. The showers have hot water and cost $2 that you put in the box until the owners get the coin operated machines going. Campsites are $5/ person and that includes the cost of WiFi. I highly recommend you reserve online for the summer holidays. The campsites get filled in pretty quickly. There are three cabins, in case camping is not your thing. The owners are easily accessible in the morning so you have option to pay them then. Bonus is the creek that have steps to access. The water is really cold and refreshing.

The Ten Sleep Rock Ranch is lovely. The location is close to town and minutes from the crag. The ranch provides a scenic atmosphere, clean and accessible campsites and cabins, clean bathrooms, a small kitchen, showers, two fridges and free WiFi. I love the relaxing river that flows through the campground. Plus, Louie is a lovely host. He's friendly, welcoming and spent time with our group to show us the area as a personal guide. As for the people who are complaining about climbing ethics and bombarding The Rock Ranch with one-star reviews (many of which are copy-pasted), here's my take. First, my credentials to comment on this matter: I've bolted and cleaned five routes in Northern Arizona. I understand the physically demanding work, financial expense, difficult choices and angry internet trolls that come with the job. Because of this experience, I also know most climbers won't get to establish routes (nonetheless new crags) and don't understand the process bolting and cleaning routes requires.I've also climbed plenty of Louie's routes. He cleaned routes by comfortizing razor-sharp pockets, reefing off loose (deadly) choss, reinforcing crucial holds with epoxy, and removing plenty of dirt, mud and grime from the climbs. This is standard practice by any good route setter, nationwide. It prevents climbers, belayers and passersby from getting injured on climbs. Plus, by not shredding your fingers and shoes on razor-sharp limestone (which is a nightmare to clean), you're getting a better-quality climbing experience. On this type of rock, you're not going to find a four or five-star climb that isn't properly cleaned. It's true some of Louie's routes were "manufactured" with drilled pockets back in 2017 and early 2018. But Ten Sleep (and Wyoming as a whole, especially Wild Iris) has a long, drama-filled past of pocket drilling. If you're going to complain about manufactured holds, at least be consistent. Much of Ten Sleep's crags are in violation, and it's not just one person who played with bolting ethics.

Seriously the best camp ground in the area. Super great for climbers that want to be close to the canyon. It's got flushing toilets that are clean, a nice community area with games, free wifi, charging station (which I am currently using), well maintained campsites with picnic tables and firepits and good parking spots.

A beautiful well kept place to stay, with clean bathrooms, showers, and a community kitchen area where you can store a few items in a fridge, wash your dishes, and even microwave your food. If you're lucky you can snag a campsite that's right next to the creek and take a nice cool dip after a long day of climbing.

Stoped at ten sleep rock ranch to take a break from our tent camping trip. We stayed in the shinto cabin and it was very nice and well kept right by the creek. This place is mainly geared towards climbers but even though we are not climbers we still loved it and felt accepted. Ignore the bad reviews this place is great

Men's room needs urinals to speed things up the morning. They probably need a dedicated water spigot for filling water. But otherwise, very spacious lots, nice creek access and very close to the crags. Totally worth the price, even without the above improvements.

The rock ranch is a great place for the climbing community to come together. You can meet partners, swim in the river, shower, use a fridge and WiFi. There are apple trees everywhere and in late summer/ early fall, if you want to spend your rest day making a stovetop apple pie with your friends, you can. When I first started coming to Ten Sleep about 5 years ago, I was in awe of all the rock to be climbed but had trouble finding partners. The rock ranch was a real game changer here for me. Louie and Val are wonderful people and care about the community. Perhaps we could all put the recent controversy behind us and focus on the right, agreed upon, path moving forward. Please?

We booked a stay here for a hot summer night. Spots are first come, first serve so get there early for shade. There's a lil river that's wonderfully chilly on a hot summer day. The showers were... Used hard. The sign.on the door said to shut the door or the wind slams it around but it desperately needed aired out from some bad mildew. Lots of recycling options and community dining area. WiFi worked great.
